Welcome to Panther Pride

A message from our Principal...Principal Latisha Coleman

Hello Johnson Panthers,

I am excited to extend a warm welcome to the 2021-2022 school year.   The middle years are exciting times. This year is a unique year, as our students will need time to adjust to school after 18 months of virtual learning.

At John Hayden Johnson Middle School (JHJMS), we are committed to providing each student with a rigorous well-rounded experience that will allow them to be ready for high school. This includes developing a robust arts program and extending the impact of our phenomenal athletic program. Excellence in Academics, Arts, and Athletics is the standard at Johnson Middle School.

As a 21 year education veteran, I value the social-emotional development of each child as they transition through each stage of adolescence. I aim to ensure every child under our care has an engaging and meaningful middle school experience.

Together as a school community, we will build on the traditions of the past as well as meet the challenges of the future in innovative and exciting ways. JHJMS  family is comprised of teachers, administrators, and support staff that welcome you to participate in your child’s education.  The success of students in both academics and extracurricular activities can only reach its fullest potential when we all work together.  Please join us in making your child’s school experience a meaningful and rewarding one.
